About Jackie Ashkin and St. Abel
Jackie Ashkin is a Netherlands-based spoken word artist and researcher. Half-Malaysian and half-American, her writing draws on twenty-something years of experience living between and across cultures. Join her for a lyrical tour of intrusive thoughts and hot news items as she tries to make sense of a world falling apart at the seams – without getting too sad about it.
St. Abel is a genre-neutral musician based in Amsterdam. She is most known for her minimalist setup: hard-hitting vocals accompanied by an acoustic guitar. Her strong discography of over 10 years delves into the depths of heartbreak and existential longing, offering a sanctuary of understanding for those wrestling with similar experiences.
