Q1 Data Science Infrastructure

WUR has started a new funding programme for digital infrastructure, funded by the ministry of LNV. The title of the programme is Wageningen Common Data Solutions (WCDS), and it aims to initiate the co-development of common FAIR data infrastructure that is usable by every researcher.

In April, the selection process for the submitted project idea was finished. From a total of 16 submissions, 7 projects and 2 pilots were granted. Two more submissions weren’t fitting for this funding, however the presented challenges have great potential. At the moment we’re examining if an alternative track is viable.
