In this research, goslings of the Barnacle goose will be herded at a mine impacted and control site. From an earlier trip, soil samples from the mining area were sampled for mercury, a known contaminant in mine impacted areas. This year we will look into the effects of the exposure of goslings to the mercury in the mining area.
