Seminar on Spatial Data Science, Esri

On March 28, 2025,Dr. Lauren Bennettwill give an insightful seminar at Wageningen University. Dr. Bennett is Program Manager of Spatial Analysis and Data Science at Esri and oversees research and development for data analysis features within the company’s geographic information system (GIS) software systems. This includes spatiotemporal statistics, spatial machine learning, and multidimensional and big data analytics.

In the seminar, Dr. Bennett will discuss "The Art of Spatial Analysis and Why it Matters". She’ll dive into how AI is transforming (and not transforming) spatial data science. From GeoAI tools to AI assistants, she’ll explore recent developments in ArcGIS and examine the unique challenges and opportunities that generative AI presents for spatial thinking and analysis. The seminar will be followed by drinks at The Spot.
