Coming up! Space Farming: Exploring new horizons for Earth
In the coming years, the global population is set to grow, but our environmental impact already exceeds what the Earth can handle. How will we feed the additional mouths?
While some aim to make existing food systems more efficient, others explore new frontiers. Could our daily meal come from space? Is it feasible to grow food in deserts or underground?
Join us for a lunch workshop where extraterrestrial biologist Wieger Wamelink (WUR) will discuss these and other questions about the potential of space farming to revolutionise life on Earth!
Simple lunch will be provided upon registration.
The event organised by project B.A.S.E., Wageningen Academy and WUR Student Challenges as part of the upcoming ReThink Food Challenge and Summer School ‘Space Farming - Food for Mars and Moon’
