Seminar
Bridging the gap between global biodiversity targets and local action
With the Biodiversity COP15 behind us, we now set forth to implement the new Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. In 2024, all countries prepare their updated National Biodiversity Strategies, including targets and measures to implement the framework. The framework merely encourages and guides mainstreaming into other sectors to address direct and indirect drivers of biodiversity loss, with rather weak evaluation processes.
Can we generate more ambition for mainstreaming biodiversity concerns into other sectors at country-wide level? Yves Zinngrebe (UFZ) will take us through NBSAPs as a mainstreaming vehicle, and is joined by Jeroen Candel and Jeanne Nel to share their experiences from different country contexts.
Join us in Gaia, first floor plateau, for an inspiring seminar and discussion! Drinks will be served afterwards.
