4TU DEAN Alumni Event - Tokyo, Japan - 14 July 2023
As an alumnus/alumna of Wageningen University & Research (WUR), we invite you to an alumni event in Tokyo, Japan on Friday 14 July 2023. The event is organised together with the other technical universities. We hope to see you there!
Warm greetings from your alma mater! We hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. We are delighted to announce an upcoming event that presents a wonderful opportunity for you to reconnect with your fellow Dutch alumni, reminisce about your time in Wageningen and get to know more about the Dutch Embassy in Tokyo.
On 14 July, 30 students of Study Association S.V.T.B. Curius from TU Delft will be visiting Japan and, together with the Dutch Embassy in Tokyo, would like to invite you to a special alumni & students meetup at the residency of the ambassador in Tokyo. This gathering aims to foster meaningful connections, encourage professional networking, and create a platform for sharing experiences and insights within our vibrant engineering community.
This event will not only provide a space for personal and professional
networking but also serve as an opportunity to strengthen ties between alumni
residing in Japan. We believe that by bringing together a diverse group of
Dutch engineers, we can create a dynamic environment that fosters collaboration
and mutual support.
The event is open to alumni from all 4 Dutch technical universities. So you
will be able to meet not only alumni from Wageningen University & Research, but also from TU Delft, TU Eindhoven and University of Twente.
Programme
14.45 - 15.00 Walk-in
15.00 - 17.30 Presentations by the Dutch Embassy:
- Roos van Keulen, about the activities and role of the embassy
- Bo-Jenna Engelen, about doing business in Japan and what problems Dutch companies experience when they enter the Japanese market
- Sonoko Takahashi, on innovation and agritech in Japan
- Justus Hillen, on the global hydrogen value chain
17.30 - 17.45 Word of welcome by the Ambassador
17.45 - 20.00 Networking, including drinks and snacks
If you cannot attend the entire event, you can also join the networking part only (starting at 17.30).
