prof.dr. SR (Simon) Bush
Professor/Chair Environmental PolicySimon Bush is Professor and Chair of the Environmental Policy Group at Wageningen University. His main research interest focuses on the global dimensions of sustainable marine and aquatic food governance, including both aquaculture and fisheries. More broadly he is engaged in research on governing interactions between sustainable food, energy and biodiversity - linked in large part to the staff and PhD students at the Environmental Policy Group.

- BeWild project exploring the role of e-DNA in monitoring biodiversity around offshore wind energy parks
- OR-ELSE project analysing the challenge of marine spatial planning for sand mining and coastal climate resilience
- Aquaculture Governance Indicators developed in collaboration with Monterrey Bay Aquarium
- Sustainable Healthy Diets through Food Systems Transformation (SHiFT) with the CGIAR
- Aquaculture Co-management Guidelines for the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organisation.
His past research projects include the EURASTIP programme focused on innovation platforms for aquaculture in Asia, beyond-farm management of aquaculture in Southeast Asia (SUPERSEAS), and transformations in the governance of tuna fisheries in the Western and Central Pacific Ocean (BESTTuna)
