dr. H (Hannelie) Du Preez

My name is Hannelie du Preez and I am part of the training and advise (T&A) team within WUR’s Educational Support Centre (ESC). I am furthermore closely involved with projects such as:
- Skills Learning Trajectories
- Senior University Teaching Qualification
- BSC Marine System Sciences

I obtained degrees in cross-disciplinary fields of specialisation pertaining to educational science, learning support, psychology, and research methodology. I applied what I have learned as support/remedial teacher and lecturer at different schools and universities in South Africa.

I believe good educational practices rely on collaborative relationships where we all can come together to co-create innovative and inspiring solutions for all teaching and learning needs. A mindset towards life-long learning and continuous professional development is key.

Linking my knowledge and experience in pedagogy (children), andragogy (students) and heutagogy (lecturers), I can offer well-grounded advice and support to help you reach your visions for teaching and learning and programme development.

I have excellent communication, listening, and consultancy skills and I enjoy partaking in creative and innovative ways to solve problems. We as ESC team, are looking forward to jointly construct tailor-made solutions for your teaching and learning needs which you can implement in your authentic programme and learning environments.
