Helena Solman is a postoctoral researcher, at the Environmental Policy Group. She works on a Holi-Doctor Project that aims to develop a digital tool for wind turbine blade monitoring. Her role in the project involves stakeholder and public enagagement. Her work academic work focuses on a broader topic of digitalisation and (wind) energy.

She is a member of numerous networks and boards, including NERA, ETIP Wind energy and Energy Allianace.

Her PhD thesis is titled Digitalisation as an act of governance: the case of wind energy, based at the Environmental Policy Group at Wageningen University and Research. During this PhD project called UPWARDS: https://www.wur.nl/en/project/UPWARDS-Understanding-of-the-Physics-of-Wind-Turbine-and-Rotor-Dynamics-through-an-Integrated-Simulation-Framework.htm Helena worked  closly with technical experts, policy makers and the industry to develop a digital twin platform wind turbine innovation.
