PromovendusHeleen's PhD research explores how and in what ways a youth generational perspective contributes to anticipating (un)sustainable food system transformations, particularly in dynamic (peri-)urban contexts in Vietnam and Ethiopia. It is part of CGIAR’s initiative Sustainable & Healthy Diets through Food Systems Transformation (SHiFT).
During her MSc in Sustainable Food Systems and Agroecology and as a junior researcher at HAS University of Applied Sciences, she developed an interest in transdisciplinary and participatory action research approaches, systems thinking, anticipatory governance and futuring.
