Liesbeth Dries is an associate professor in the Agricultural Economics and Rural Policy (AEP) chair group. After studying as a bio-engineer in agricultural sciences, she continued her studies at the Catholic University of Leuven with an MSc and PhD in Economic and Applied Economic Sciences. This was followed by a short stay as a lecturer in the Agribusiness program at Lincoln University in New Zealand. She has worked at Wageningen University since 2008. She teaches basic economics subjects and institutional economics. Her research interests focus on the organization of agricultural and food chains and in particular on the role of institutional and organizational innovations in improving the environmental impact of agricultural and food production.
